Special, But Not Unique

It shouldn't come as a huge surprise that there are so many low-mile, immaculately-kept Lexus LFAs out there in the world. After all, we knew from the start that this was a car destined for collector car status, given its iconic qualities and low production numbers. But this sub-4,000 mile beauty up for grabs at The Octane Collection is still special, even if it isn't terribly unique in that regard.

Rare Breed

As most already know, just 500 examples of the LFA were produced over two model years, making each one of these supercars something special. It's also one of the last vehicles sold with a super high-revving, naturally-aspirated V10 powerplant before we moved into an era of smaller-displacement engines with fewer cylinders and forced induction.

Yes We Can

While many openly questioned whether Lexus could really build a car capable of competing against Lamborghini and Ferrari at the time, today, the LFA has become a highly sought-after collector's item after it proved that yes, it most certainly can.

Healthy Profit

Those that plunked down $375,000 to buy one of these new are also enjoying the fruits of that decision, as LFAs sell for much more these days. This particular example is up for grabs with an asking price of 549,000 pounds, or $756,278 USD, which is a healthy increase from its original MSRP.

Well Cared For

If this car wasn't rare enough in the first place, it's also one of just 238 built-in left-hand-drive configurations. It was originally delivered in Switzerland and was later imported into the UK by its current owner. To this day, it still looks immaculate inside and out, a testament to the care exhibited by its first two owners.

Exhaustive Process

The current owner has serviced the LFA regularly at Lexus' Milton Keynes location, once per year. As we've reported in the past, servicing these cars is a pretty exhaustive process that requires a little expert know-how and the right tools, so that's obviously an important component of maintaining one.

Appreciating Asset

While they certainly aren't cheap right now, the Lexus LFA is virtually a lock to appreciate in the coming years as the world transitions to electric power and enthusiasts begin to covet old-fashioned supercars and their incredible sound. And in that regard, few can measure up to the Lexus LFA.
