For all the guys and gals down under

Heralded as the "dynamic new LX variant," the bulky SUV is making it all the way official in Australia. In order to entice buyers to the automaker, the LX 570 S is coming with a slew of exclusive features that include a more aggressive look thanks to a body kit, 21-inch big boy alloy wheels, and a front performance damper.

Are they just trolling us now?

The controversial spindle grille has been redesigned with a mesh pattern now adorning the front of the SUV. Other subtle details include courtesy lamps built into the side mirrors that project "LX S" logos onto the ground. On the interior, changes will come in the form of semi-aniline leather accented trim that will come in Black or a deep burgundy named Garnet that is exclusive to the S. Another change to the cabin are the alloy pedals for a sportier aesthetic.

Gas on gas on gas

For performance numbers, the 5.7-liter V8 produces 362 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque making its way through an 8-speed automatic transmission. For a look at towing capacity, you'll be getting just over 7,700 lbs for hauling. The people mover can carry 138 liters of premium fuel thanks to a hefty 93-liter main tank and additional 45-liter tanks so don't fret about those long treks in the sticks.

It's all there

As a flagship model, the LX 570 S comes loaded with all of the standard tech and luxury features. Most folks would think that that would be a given but you'd be surprised how many people buy higher ranked models and still see blank buttons on their center consoles. For easier use of the satellite-based navigation system among other features, the center console is home to a 12.3-inch monitor.

What's it worth to you?

If anyone is interested in buying one of these exclusive models, they may or may not be bummed to know that it will only be available in just two exterior colors: Sonic Quartz or Starlight Black. Our Aussie cousins will be looking at about $118, 483, which is a markup over the regular LX 570 with the Enhancement Pack which underpins the S model.
