Positive Attributes

The SC300 has long been a favorite here at Club Lexus, and for good reason. The fancier version of the early Supra is a luxurious, handsome, and sporty ride, especially when equipped with a manual transmission. All of those attributes are clearly on display with this beautiful '96 SC300 we spotted recently at Bring a Trailer.

Well Taken Care Of

Immaculately cared for over the last 20+ years, this gorgeous Midnight Indigo Pearl SC300 has just 68,000 miles showing on the odometer. Better yet, it was a one-owner car until last year. Regardless, the seller has completed a slew of recent maintenance including replacing the valve cover gasket, spark plugs and wires, changing the transmission and differential fluids, and replacing the rear seat.

Color Change

In addition, the car is being sold with full-service records, the original window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, owner’s manual, clean Carfax report, and a clean Maryland title. It is worth noting that the SC was originally painted Royal Jade Pearl, but received a respray in the new color by the seller.

Fresh Interior

When the seller repainted the car, he also replaced all the chrome, which was a nice touch. The factory wheels were also refinished at the same time, so the exterior of this SC looks like brand new. The tan interior is also in very nice shape for the car's age, which is partly due to the replacement of the rear seat and driver’s outer seat bolster leather.

Few Quirks

Despite all this work, the seller only added around 1,500 miles to the odometer during his year-plus of ownership. Everything on the car reportedly works perfectly, save for the digital clock which is stuck at 12:00, as well as a rebuilt Tanin Electronics climate control interface that glows brighter than the radio controls

Mechanically Sound

More importantly, the seller has completed a ton of maintenance on the car that includes a coolant change, replacement of the serpentine belt, fuel filter, and battery, a new the oxygen sensor, the clutch master and slave cylinders, valve cover gasket, and spark plugs and wires. Thus, this SC seems like it's mechanically ready to roll for many more miles.

Winning Combination

Add in the car's fresh interior and exterior enhancements, and you've got one seriously nice Lexus SC300. The fact that it sports a very rare factory manual transmission option, well, that's just a nice dab of icing on the cake!
