Big Bucks, No Whammies

As values of all used cars continue to hit new record highs each passing month, that rising tide has also affected the values of collector cars and supercars. Take the Lexus LFA for example - the brand's legendary, high-revving race car for the street has been commanding huge money at auction in recent months, and that figures to continue when this very nice white example crosses the block at RM Sotheby's upcoming Phoenix, Arizona sale.

One Owner

This particular LFA has lived its entire life with the original owner, and currently has just 4,360 miles on the clock. It's one of around 190 U.S. examples, and one of just 500 built in total. Serial number 253 was originally purchased at Sewell Lexus of Dallas, Texas for a total of $393,600 - just a tick over the car's MSRP of $375k.

Even Rarer

If all of that doesn't make this car special enough for you, it's also one of just 27 U.S. market non-Nurburgring Package equipped LFAs finished in Whitest White, so there's that. With a badge delete and polished metallic silver wheels, it certainly looks about as clean as a car can possibly look.

Star of the Show

The star of the LFA's show is, of course, what lies under the hood - a very special 4.8-liter V10 that churns out 553 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque, with a rev limit that's high enough to make some seriously sweet racecar-like noises. Backed up by a six-speed manual gearbox, it's also quite fun to drive.

Contrasting Cabin

This particular LFA features a contrasting interior finished in orange and black leather, which is complemented by high-gloss carbon fiber and anodized titanium trim. Whitest White seatbacks, orange stitching, and matching orange leather on the center console and steering wheel grips finish off the cabin.

One Downfall

The only real knock against the gorgeous machine is the fact that it had a replacement 1LR-GUE engine fitted when the original began making some noises around 1,500 miles. Otherwise, there are truly no flaws here to note, and all of that major work was completed by Lexus, of course.

Spending Spree

Thus, we expect that this stunning LFA will command quite a lot of money at auction, perhaps even more than its $650,000-$750,000 auction estimate. After all, these cars have been in very high demand recently, and folks are spending truly stunning amounts of money on all kinds of things these days. So why not a legendary V10-powered icon?
