1. Bring the Heat
Forum member seem to be extremely pleased with the Lexus NX's heating. Starting with the steering wheel, forum member CorradoMR2 says the wheel gets warm in only 20 seconds, and it reaches its full heat in approximately one minute. The driver and passenger also start feeling the heat in their seats in about one minute, and they get fully hot within three minutes.
2. HVAC Auto Mode
Thanks to a small sensor that is mounted next to the rearview mirror, the Lexus NX can detect fog or humidity in the cabin. When the computer does detect it, it can automatically activate the HVAC if you have it set on "Auto" to clear the foggy windshield. Thanks to smart engineers, this happens all without the driver needing to lift a finger off of the steering wheel.
3. VIN Placard
The VIN can say a lot about cars, like where they were assembled, and serves as the vehicle's identification. For years, the VIN placard has been located in the driver's door jamb, but if this is where you're looking for it in the Lexus NX, you may be looking for a while. Interestingly, Lexus put their NX VIN placard under the front passenger seat.
4. LED Cornering Fog Lights
The Lexus NX has many advance little touches, including this one to allow you to corner better at night and in bad weather, thanks to LED cornering fog lamps. On the NX F-Sport, the fog lights automatically rotate in the direction you're turning, which allows them to shine the lights into the corner before the headlights can get there.
5. Engine's Firewall
If you're wondering how Lexus managed to make the nimble NX exceptionally quiet on the inside, forum member CorradoMR2 investigated. The engine compartment of the Lexus NX isn't bare metal. It is finished with thick sound deadening material which not only makes the engine's firewall look as fancy as the interior, it also provides nice sound and heat insulation from the cabin.
