Lexus Brings Serious Heat to Monterey Car Week

2023 Monterey Car Week

Monterey Car Week is one of the more prestigious automotive-related events that take place each year, blessing us with some of the finest - and most valuable - vehicles on earth. In fact, its most famous component - the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance - is widely considered to be the finest car show on earth, showing off the best of the best in terms of collectible cars. However, there's a lot more to see in Monterey than just old cars, as Lexus has a pretty special lineup heading to the prestigious event, too.

2024 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series

First up in this lineup, we have the 2024 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series, which just made its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show. Limited to just 125 units for North America, this special version of the LC features Polar Surge Satin paint matched with a Deep Blue interior treatment, as well as matte black 21-inch forged wheels, front bumper canards, a carbon-fiber fixed rear wing spoiler, rear performance dampers, a Torsen limited-slip differential, and a carbon fiber roof, among other adornments.

Lexus RZ Sport Concept

Next up, we have the Lexus RZ Sport Concept, which is based on the all-electric 2023 Lexus RZ 450e and it making its first appearance in the U.S. at Monterey Car Week. This concept is intended to give us a preview of what a performance Lexus EV might look like, and aside from sporty bodywork, it's equipped with a pair of high-output 150 kW motors, along with a 35mm lowered suspension and 21-inch wheels.

2024 Lexus GX

The brand new, redesigned 2024 Lexus GX has thus far been the darling of the automotive world thanks to its boxy, retro styling, and visitors to Monterey Car Week will get to check the SUV out up close and personal. Aside from its handsome, chiseled looks, the new GX gets an off-road-focused Overland trim for the new model year, along with a 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V6 making 349 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque.

2024 Lexus TX

Also new for 2024 is the Lexus TX, a three-row crossover that's the first slated to be built at Toyota's Indiana plant, which makes sense given the fact that it's tailor-made for the American customer. The roomy model can be had with two different hybrid powertrains and even in sporty F Sport configuration, giving buyers in this hotly-contested segment something else to consider.

Lexus Drive Experience

Aside from these new vehicles, Lexus is also bringing out a host of models that Monterey Car Week can test drive for themselves via the Lexus Drive Experience. That lineup includes LC 500 Convertible, IS 500, RZ 450e, NX 350h, LX 600, and LS 500h. Additionally, several vehicles will be on display, including the Lexus TX 500h, GX 550, RZ 450e, LX 600, LX 600 Alpine Lifestyle Concept, RX 500h, IS 500, LC 500 Inspiration Series, and Lexus Racing RC F GT3.

Other Cool Stuff

Lexus Culinary Master and Master Sommelier Carlton McCoy will also be on-site at the Lexus display at The Quail where he will conduct special wine tastings with the public. Finally, wrapping up the weekend, Lexus will give back to the local community for the fourth year in a row, supporting the annual Pebble Beach Concours d ‘Elegance Charity through a drawing to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Monterey County.
