Going Out

The Lexus CT left the U.S. years ago, but it is/was still going strong in Japan, at least until recently. The CT200h is getting a bit long in the tooth, and instead of replacing it with a new version, Lexus is giving it the proverbial ax this coming October. But before that happens, the luxury brand is releasing a special version of the hybrid hatch called the Cherished Touring.

Exterior Combinations

The Lexus CT200h Cherished Touring Edition is easily distinguishable from regular, run of the mill CT models thanks in part to its pair of available exclusive color schemes - one pairing a Graphite Black body with a Sonic Titanium roof, or another with a Sonic Quartz white body and Sonic Titanium roof.

Silver Elements

Aside from those unique colors, the CT200h Cherished Touring Edition also features a silver finish on a variety of surfaces including the fog lights surrounds, front grille, and rear bumper.

Extra Amenities

All Cherished Touring Edition models also come equipped with some extra amenities including rain-sensing windshield wipers and electric heated side mirrors. Nothing changes in the power department, however, as all CT200h models feature a 1.8-liter four-cylinder that cranks out 98 horsepower and 105 pound-feet of torque paired with an electric motor that makes an additional 80 hp and 153 pound-feet.

Interior Upgrades

Inside the cabin, this special edition model features two-tone red and black upholstery with red stitching on the steering wheel, instrument panel, knee pads, and door trim. Additionally, a heated steering wheel and seats are standard.

Moving On

Priced at 4,223,000 yen ($33,960), the Lexus CT200h Cherished Touring Edition is a nice farewell to a model that launched back in 2010 for the 2011 model year in the U.S. Lexus has sold around 380,000 examples of the hybrid hatchback over the past decade-plus, but now, it's sadly time to move on.
