Beginning of Something Good

There's no better feeling than the day you bring home your dream ride. Maybe you've saved up for a car for a long time or just finally got that promotion you've been waiting on. And getting to finally plunk down the cash and get behind the wheel of your new sweet ride makes it all worth it. But before long, you just can't resist the urge to make it even better!

That's why places like Club Lexus exist, of course. A place where like-minded enthusiasts can gather together virtually, show off their rides, and document the process of building them. This 2014 Lexus IS250 F-Sport, owned by Club Lexus member Sasnuke, is a perfect example of that. And here, you can watch it all come together, piece by piece!

Humble Beginnings

As they often do, this particular Lexus build starts with a bone stock car. The OP purchased his IS used back in 2016, and then proceeded to drive it around a bit before the itch to mod became too strong to ignore!

Starting out Back

While many projects start in the front, this one actually began in the back. Beginning with a set of RS*R downs, which turned into a five-hour project. To add some contrast, the OP then added an Obsidian Black spoiler and PlastiDipped rear emblems.

New Shoes

And then came the biggie - a new set of wheels! The 20x8.5 Brushed Light Bronze Vertini RF1.1s look perfect on this red beauty, and they tuck in the fender wells nicely. Traction comes from a fresh set of Othsu FP8000 235/30/20s tires.

Breathe Easy

Next up on the docket was a Takeda intake, which undoubtedly helps the stock motor breathe a little easier. The OP then wrapped the roof in Avery Gloss Black, which provides a killer contrast. And while he was at it, he also wrapped the "shark fin" antenna to match.

Unleash the Sound!

The next mod is something that always ranks near the top of anybody's list - exhaust. In this case, the OP went for a Tanabe Medallion Touring axle-back exhaust, which should give this IS a much nicer sound. And the tips sure look cooler than the stock pieces, too!

Tidy up Your Face

With all of that done, it was time to address the front end of this IS. The OP went with some Lamin-X tinted DRL precuts and front emblem protective film to darken things up a notch. A good heat gun made quick work of the flexible film.

Future Mods

And this IS build isn't done yet, either! An IS350 front brake conversion is already underway. The OP also intends to install a premium LED conversion and some Winjet fog lights at this point. The front lip has already been wrapped, and some fancy new wheel nuts are on. Be sure and head over here to keep up with the latest as this sweet IS continues to evolve!
