Lexus LC 500 Shooting Brake Rendered, and It's Glorious
LC sales could get a big boost if Lexus built something like this.
Appealing Idea
The Lexus LC - an undeniably beautiful grand touring couple/convertible - hasn't exactly been a hot seller since its launch, in spite of glowing reviews, those beautiful lines, and plenty of other appealing features. Unfortunately, in today's world, folks seem to gravitate more toward utility than outright style and sportiness, which is what makes these Lexus LC 500 Shooting Brake renderings from Sugar Design so darn appealing.

Simple but Effective
The idea here is pretty simple, and the artist didn't do anything crazy to alter the already appealing lines of the LC. Rather, they essentially just added a wagon-like extension to the rear of the coupe, which gives it a super cool look and a ton of added utility, to boot.

Sloping Lines
The roofline of the Shooting Brake continues on where the regular one slopes off to create space for the trunk, while the side windows have been extended all the way back as well. The roofline still slopes downward for a nice, modern look, too.

Breaking Up
As is all the rage these days, these renderings give the LC 500 Shooting Brake a rear roof spoiler that's painted body color, providing even more of a sporty look to go along with a nice break in that sea of tinted glass that also covers the roof.

Contrasting Hues
The darker blue paint here fits these revised lines perfectly, as do a set of bronze wheels, which are all the rage these days. The artist even gave the LC a set of bronze C-pillars for a nice finishing touch.

Zero Chance?
While we find these renderings to be quite stunning and the idea of an LC Shooting Brake to be quite appealing, there's essentially a zero percent chance that such a vehicle ever gets produced. However, as we can see from these renderings, one can easily make a case that it should be.
