Available but Expensive

While Americans have long had the privilege of purchasing the Lexus LX570, the same hasn't been true in places like Australia. Our friends Down Under have long had to pay third parties extravagant sums to purchase converted right-hand-drive vehicles, but now, the LX S is available straight from Lexus in that configuration. However, it still won't be cheap.

Pricey Proposition

The 2021 LX570 S retails for $168,767 AUS, which equates to $131,902 USD using today's exchange rates. That's obviously a lot of coin for a vehicle that starts out at $86,730 here in the U.S., but this is nothing unusual with vehicles imported into Australia.

Fresh Design

Regardless, Aussies get their choice of two exterior colors for the LX - Sonic Quartz or Starlight Black. The 2021 LX features a redesigned spindle grille, front bumper, and new 21-inch wheels with a two-tone color scheme with gloss black inserts, which is similar to the ones used on the LC.

Other Niceties

The LX570 S also features an "S" badge on the liftgate, puddle lights that display "LX S" on the ground when activated, as well as retuned dampers that reportedly improve cornering performance in the big 'ute.

First Class

As one might expect, the interior of the LX570 S is quite a nice place to be, with features like semi-aniline perforated leather trim, which is available in either Black or Garnet hues, an exclusive Burgandy color, Shimamoku Gray trim, and alloy pedals.

Familiar Powerplant

The LX570 S is powered by Lexus' familiar 5.7-liter V8, which produces 270 kW (362 horsepower) and 530 Nm (391 pound-feet) of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It can also tow up to 3,500 kilograms, or 7,716 pounds, which is undoubtedly impressive.
