Lexus NX F Sport Black Line Coming to Chicago Auto Show

Black Line Affair

Last year, Lexus revealed two new special edition F Sport models at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show:  GS F sedan and RC F coupe.  Once again, the automaker is using Chicago to unveil a limited-edition (only 1,000 units being produced) style package for the 2019 Lexus NX 300 F Sport.  Making its formal debut at this year's 2019 Chicago Auto Show, the Black Line Special Edition adds extra finesse to the base NX 300 F Sport in the form of additional standard styling features and equipment.

F Sport, Plus

Black Line models get all the bells and whistles of the base NX 300 F Sport with additional standard features. This includes Lexus' Comfort Package with Blind Spot Monitor and Heated/Ventilated Front Seats, Power Tilt/Telescoping Steering Column, Intuitive Parking Assist, Power Rear Door with Kick Sensor, Moonroof and Auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror.

Same Engine

Using Lexus' 2.0-liter turbo inline 4, the NX 300 F Sport pumps out 235 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The 2.0-liter engine uses an exhaust manifold-mounted turbocharger that Lexus engineers claim reduces turbo lag while improving responsiveness and fuel economy.

Enhanced Engine Acoustics

On top of its larger, dual chrome-tipped exhaust, the Black Line Edition adds Active Sound Control (ASC) to enhance engine noise from within the car through a speaker mounted behind the dashboard that is driver-adjustable via a volume dial located on the front console.

Aggressive-er Looking

On the outside, the F Sport Forged 19” Alloy Wheels give the NX 300 a more aggressive appearance.

Interior Exclusives

Inside, Lexus gives the NX 300 F Sport Black Line an exclusive 10.3” Navigation System multimedia display with Remote Touch Interface (RTI) - a touchpad with palm rest located on the center console.  Lexus Enform® App Suite 2.0 is standard.

Color-Coordinated

Drivers are treated to body-hugging "NuLuxe" sport seat surfaces that come in F Sport Arctic White and Black.  Lexus designers color-coordinated the seats with black headliner, unique floor mats, cargo mat, and key gloves.  The NX 300 F Sport Black Line can be dressed in exterior colors Ultra White, Obsidian or Atomic Silver.

Mark Levinson Audio

Saving one of the best tidbits for last, Lexus gives the Black Line an exclusive 14-speaker Mark Levinson sound system.  The premium sound system bumps 835-watts and will be available on the NX 300 F Sport Black Line when it goes on sale at dealerships February 2019.
