Roll Out the Red Carpet
The all-new Lexus RX is still a fresh product, having just been revealed mere months ago. Since then, the redesigned crossover has been making numerous appearances on both the small and the big screen as part of Lexus' marketing push for its very important product, but perhaps its biggest starring role was at the recent premiere of the highly anticipated film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Special Example
At the event, a variety of cast members, celebrities, and VIP guests posed for pictures in front of this unique RX hybrid, which was custom wrapped as a tribute to the new movie, complete with Black Panther claw decals on the hood. Behind the car was an LED screen featuring exclusive clips from Lexus.

Familiar Faces
Chiefly among that group was Danai Gurira, one of the stars of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, who posed for photos on the red carpet and at the Lexus activation. Gurira's character, "Okoye," is also featured in the luxury brand’s latest commercial dubbed "An Electric Future," which premiered earlier this month featuring the all-new, all-electric, Lexus RZ 450e.

Other celebrities photographed at the Lexus activation included Sheryl Lee Ralph, Mitzi Mabel Cadena, Boris Kojoe, Nicolas Neruda Kodjoe, Michael Ealy, Daymond John, and WNBA players and sisters, Nneka Ogwumike and Chiney Ogwumike.

Big Changes
The RX 500h is, of course, a star in its own right as one of the more important Lexus models in the current lineup. Its revised exterior styling is the most obvious change present here, but the luxury crossover also features a longer wheelbase, more interior space, and a host of other changes.

Weight Loss
Riding on Toyota’s GA-K architecture, the new RX has also lost roughly 200 pounds versus the outgoing model and features a redesigned multi-link rear suspension that improves ride quality to boot. Powertrain choices consist of four different four-cylinder engines, though the 500h is obviously electrified.

Electrified Performance
The 500h utilizes a turbocharged 2.4-liter I-4 that's paired with an electric motor to generate a combined 367 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, which is routed to all four wheels via Lexus' Direct4 AWD system. It's a compelling option for performance enthusiasts and one that also happens to look good on the red carpet as well.
