Lexus RX Winds Up on Top of Corolla In Wild Looking Accident

Crazy Crash

We've certainly seen our fair share of crazy accidents over the years, many of which involve Lexus vehicles. However, the rise of the crossover/SUV has led to a rather strange phenomenon, too - cars winding up on top of other cars, typically an SUV on sedan crime, if you will. The latest example of this comes to us from Nigeria, where the driver of a Lexus RX managed to drive over and on top of a Toyota Corolla, as we can see in this video.

Big Mistake

According to police, the driver of the RX was backing up her crossover and apparently didn't see the Corolla, at which point she continued back up and over the hood of the poor compact car. It finally came to a rest when it was covering essentially the entree front end and windshield.

Debating the Cause

As for why, exactly, this happened, police haven't released any details, but opinions range from intoxicated driving to a simple case of not realizing the RX was in reverse and not drive when the driver hit the gas. This would certainly make sense, as she may not have noticed that the backup camera was on at the time.

Heavy Damage

Either way, the results of that mistake are quite devastating, with the poor Corolla suffering heavy damage to its front end, we imagine - it is quite hard to see with the crossover sitting on top of it, after all. As for the RX, it's likely not as bad off, though we imagine that there's some sort of damage underneath that will need repair, at the very least.

Bright Side

On the bright side, no one was injured in this crash, including the driver of the RX or the child that was reportedly in the vehicle with her at the time. Thus, insurance is left holding the bag in this case, though we imagine that the RX owner will have a bit of explaining to do.
