Murdered Out Custom Lexus Paint Jobs

Flat black murdered out paint used to be a sign that go was more important than show in hot rod circles. Then, luxury car owners started to use it as an anti-status symbol, to indicate they had tons of money but didn't care about flash. Today, a matte finish is bigger than the bling around your neck.

1. BlackSC400's GS 400 photoshop job

This is not a great picture to start out with, as the resolution is low, but the car belongs to forum member blackSC400, and it was photoshopped by another forum member, dunnojack. This clean and understated VIP style GS 400 is already black, though a glossy color. Murdering it out makes it look just that much more sinister and powerful, even if it was just done digitally.

2. FiveAvis Project IS F

Design and fabrication company FiveAvis has done several matte finish projects involving Lexus for the SEMA show. This blacked out IS F involved a lot more than just a paint job though, with a custom interior and body tweaks as well. Of course, the bronze wheels and other accents throughout are the finishing touch that really makes it eye catching. See more pictures here.

3. DarkDuke's Wide Body IS 350

This car has lots of subtle mods, including a whole host of parts from the Lexus F sport line. Obviously it has a body kit, but you may not have noticed the extra 2 inches added so the fenders would cover the Wedsport wheels SA-55M wheels. According to ForceGT.com it belongs to ClubLexus member DarkDuke, but you can see a ton more pictures and get all the details here

4. Superior Auto Design GS 350

You might think that Miami would be more about light colors and maybe pastels, but that was a long time ago. Superior Auto wrapped this brand new Lexus GS 350 in a matte dark grey, leaving just the wheels and a little bit of chrome to catch the sun. The wrap and the tint make this perfectly stealth for someone who already has enough attention. More pictures here.

5. Matte Red IS 350 Convertible

This show car has made the rounds, appearing at SEMA and at the San Francisco Auto Show, but not much information about it is online. In my opinion, nearly any other color at all would be an improvement on this red rubber ball finish. Luckily, it is just a wrap and underneath is the perfect factory paint.

6. Matte Blue RC F

This car just showed up at a random cars and coffee event in Scottsdale, AZ. Since the RC F is fairly new and rare, this is most likely a wrap, but it sure looks sweet. With the bright blue matte finish exterior, and bright red leather seats, maybe this belongs to Superman? The car itself is definitely super, man.
