Rocket Bunny Madness

Rocket Bunny has built a reputation over the years of creating some of the most aggressively-designed body kits. Kei Miura's work has caught the eyes of everyone in the automotive industry, manufacturers and enthusiasts alike. The aftermarket firm's polarizing aesthetic has always turned heads with everything from exotic Italian supercars to the Toyota GR Yaris, which we recently featured.

Recognizable Style

The already distinct style of the Japanese tuner has recently received another recognizable feature with the introduction of the angular wheel arches with blacked-out trim. This design element can be found with the GR Yaris kit as well. With the GR86, it comes with an even more aggressive stance.

Angry Face

At the front, the Rocket Bunny kit gives the otherwise tame Toyota sports car a much wider, more sinister look. The large front grille opening reveals the intercooler. A smaller rectangular opening sits above the grille, as well. The lower part of the front bumper cover has a well-integrated look, with the front splitter connected to the graphic that contains the side air inlets. And the canards follow the same shape, giving the face a homogenous look.

Aggressive Aero

The over fenders visually hover over the car's factory body lines. This means that the wide-body extensions do not connect to the side skirts directly. Instead, blacked-out fins extend down from the wheel arches, adding an extra dose of race car aggression, while serving their aerodynamic duties.

The Tail End

The same philosophy makes its make to the rear of the kit as well. The rear doesn't see nearly as big of a change, though. The widened quarter panels are enough to give the car a planted look. Additions at the back include a subtle splitter/diffuser that connects to the rear over fenders and reaches just inside the tailpipes.

Coming to SEMA

Rounding things off is a lower rear spoiler than we've been used to seeing with Rocket Bunny's kit for the previous version of the 86. It mirrors the shape of the rear bumper cover graphic, and further enhancing Miura's squared-off new aesthetic. It was only a matter of time before Kei Miura came out with a new kit for the GR86. And we can expect to see various builds with the kit at SEMA this year.
