Lexus continuously finds ways to keep its current offerings fresh with each new model year by adding special edition models to the lineup. The latest is the Premium Sport Edition UX 250h, which is destined for the U.K., and it represents a pretty compelling package for buyers that want a bit more style with their compact crossover.

Blacked Out

The Premium Sport Edition UX builds upon the existing Premium Pack upgrade by adding a host of black trim pieces including the front grille, side mirror caps, headlamp surrounds, roof rails, and five-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels, all of which gives the UX 250h a much sportier look.

Unique Cabin

The interior of the Premium Sport Edition stands out from the rest of the UX lineup thanks to its unique black Tahara upholstery, which is a leather alternative. The package also comes with a 7-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capbility.

Extra Features

Other features inside the cabin worth noting are Lexus' Intelligent Clearance Sonar system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated seats, and rear privacy glass.

Lexus Safety System+ comes standard with the Premium Sport Edition as well, offering a full suite of safety features including Pre-Collision System with daytime and nighttime pedestrian and daytime cyclist detection, Lane Trace Assist, Road Sign Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and automatic high beams.

Equal Power

The Premium Sport Edition UX utilizes the same powertrain as the regular UX 250h, which means that it's powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine supported by either one or two electric motors, depending on whether front- or all-wheel-drive is specified. Either way, total output comes in at 181 horsepower.

Solid Value

The 2021 UX 250h Premium Sport Edition is already on sale in the U.K., with a starting MSRP of £33,150 ($44,835 USD) - which comes out to £850 ($1,149 USD) more than the Premium Pack. Given the equipment it provides, that also a modest price increase from the base UX's price of £29,950 ($40,507 USD), making it a pretty solid value.
