gerrb's 1992 SC400

This SC400 was picked up by a user named gerrb. He obtained this car in non-running condition and immediately began modifications on it. First thing was to swap out the stock wheels for a pair that he had on-hand. He gave the car a good wash and began to diagnose the engine knock that he was experiencing. Gerrb set out to keep many things stock and then modify the engine with aftermarket performance enhancements. You can check out the entire build here.

Raine's SC300

This build is a long one. Raine has spent over nine years fine tuning and perfecting this car. He purchased it in excellent, mostly stock condition. The only thing that wasn't stock was the rims. He began by changing up the wheels, removing some chrome, and then giving the car an extensive cleaning. The following year saw a coilover swap. After that, some audio work. Years four through six saw lots of performance modifications. All that was followed by some exterior modification and minor detail work on the car. Go check out this awesome, very thorough build thread from Raine here

Dmitry's 1997 SC300

A user by the name of 97-SC300 has posted an incredible thread for his brother Dmitry about an extensive build on a 1997 SC300. The build began with the stock engine being removed and a slick refinishing of the wheels. This is followed by some brand new tires and some minor body work. Then the technical modifications begin and you won't believe how many components get an upgrade. There are far too many modifications to even begin to list them all. This thread is one that you don't wanna miss! You can find it here

ScottURnot's SC400

This user gave the engine of his SC400 a total overhaul. ScottURnot changed the block, crank, mains, bearings, rods, pistons, pins, rings, heads, valves, springs, cams, studs/bolts, and gaskets. After all these modifications, one big addition was made: adding a supercharger. With a supercharged 4.7L V8, you know that this SC400 can haul some serious butt. Head over to Club Lexus and check out this very thorough thread. You can find it here

turbodremz's 1992 SC300

This user outlines how to mate a 5.7L LS1 engine with a BorgWarner Tremec T56 transmission. Many users cite this as being one of the best bolt-on motors for these vehicles. This is a great build option for beginners and anyone looking to get into modifying these types of cars. The post even includes track times so that you can get an idea of what this car is truly capable of post-modified. This thread slowly but surely reveals everything this user did to accomplish better track times with his car. Definitely worth taking a look for any Lexus enthusiast. You can find the article here
