Great Value

Lately, we're beginning to see more and older Lexus IS models popping up for sale. But despite this emergence of nice examples of Lexus' compact luxury sedan, they are still selling for value prices. That's a great thing for those of us looking to score one, of course. And this super clean '04 IS300 certainly looks like it was worth every penny of its $9,500 selling price at Bring a Trailer

Super Clean

This particular car has 94k miles on the clock, but you'd be hard-pressed to tell. From the pictures, it looks to be in amazing condition, and the factory Bluestone Metallic paint is a fantastic color choice. The seller has held onto the IS for most of its life, having originally purchased the car in 2007. And they clearly took great care of it in the years since.

Timeless Style

We're big fans of this body style, and this particular IS is a great example of why. It has a few sporty additions, including the rear spoiler, fog lights, sunroof, and tinted windows that complement its clean and timeless styling. There is a little bit of hail and sun damage on the car, but barely enough to show up on film.

Luxurious Touches

Inside, you'll find more of the same clean and sporty design mixed in with a bit of luxury. The IS has plenty of notable goodies here including eight-way adjustable power seats stitched up in black leather with blue Ultrasuede inserts and driver-side memory, for starters.

Modern Updates

Other notable features include automatic climate control, Lexus-branded mats, a rear-seat pass-through, a touchscreen Pioneer stereo, a backup camera, and a chronograph-inspired gauge cluster. Just a few modern upgrades to keep this '04 model chugging along nicely.

Sporty Fun

Under the hood, you'll find the familiar 3.0-liter 2JZ-GE inline-six that originally produced 215 horsepower when new. It sends power back through the aforementioned five-speed manual transmission to an optional limited-slip differential, which makes for a fun and sporty driving experience.

Collector Status?

The seller has had a new clutch installed and timing belt service performed recently, so this clean IS should be good to go for some time now. And we imagine that it will do exactly that because these cars are still fun and rewarding to drive. Whether or not that ever translates into collectible status, well, we'll just have to wait and find out.
