Ready to Rip

HKS already has its GR86 performance upgrades ready to go. Before the car has even been released, the guys at HKS have put together some sweet aftermarket goodies. The HKS GR86 concept debuted at the "Fuji 86 Style with BRZ" event at Japan's Fuji Speedway.

Send it with a Supercharger

First and foremost, HKS fitted the 86 with a GT2 supercharger system. HKS has long preached the benefits of centrifugal superchargers which offer better low-end and mid-range torque.HKS played with the ECU as well, so expect a modest 60-100hp gain similar to what they did with the previous generation.

Subtle Attraction

HKS sought to highlight the car's original lines so you won't see the industry norm wide-body kit here. The vehicle gets a 1-piece, dual-plane canard setup just in front of the bumper reflectors.

Cute Skirt

On the side profile, the 86 gets a relatively tame kit. The front fender vents are covered by a carbon fiber panel that bolts to HKS sideskirts. Those sideskirts offer integrated diffusers, flattening out nicely at the bottom.

Advan All Day

The 86 sits on 19 x 9.5 Advan Racing GT Beyond in Copper Bronze. Tires were upgraded to 255/30/19 Advan Neova AD08Rs. Behind the shoes are Endless 6-pot calipers with 370mm rotors in the front and 4-pot calipers mounted over 320mm rotors in the rear.

High Notes

HKS GT SPEC catted exhaust manifold is installed to the block and runs to a Hi-Power SPEC-L II cat-back exhaust system. The setup is ultra-lightweight for additional weight savings and performance. The system exits through a carbon fiber lower diffuser in the rear. As a cherry to finish the build, HKS installed a more pronounced carbon fiber duck tail wing with a low-profile GT wing just above.
