Daring and Dynamic

If you're someone that doesn't mind going for some daring and dynamic designs when it comes to SUVs, you'll definitely love these crazy body kits from SCL Global. They are specifically built for the Lexus RX and NX models, and nothing could be further away from the norm. Not only do they appeal to the eye but also bring something new to the table.

SCL Global

SCL Global is a Russian company that was founded in 2003. It is based in Armavir, Russia where it covers about 23,142 square feet of floor space. Within its facilities, you'll find more than 40 employees working hard to produce aftermarket visual enhancement kits for luxury and premium cars like the Porsche 911 Turbo S, Mercedes G-Class, and Maserati Quattroporte. Their inventory also includes some downright outstanding conversion packages for the latest Lexus RX and NX models.

Why the NX?

The Lexus NX and RX are pretty remarkable vehicles. They have previously made waves in the industry for their unique offerings and high-reliability ratings. For starters, the NX 300h Luxury AWD comes with a 2.5-liter inline-four engine that's paired with a hybrid motor. We get about 194 horsepower at 5,700 rpm and 152 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 revs.

NX Build

All that power is sent to all the wheels via a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The entire front structure comprises a strut setup from MacPherson and a dual wishbone suspension. A new set of 18-inch aluminum wheels and P225/60hr18 tires ensure that the NX is able to transform all that power and construction into actual road performance.

Kotaro Body Kit

SCL Global nicknamed its body kit for the NX "Kotaro." The first thing you'll notice is the surreal and artistic grille that meets you at the front. It has diagonal lines that direct your vision towards the center. The company added an alluring custom hood that comes with openings just near the windshield. Other enhancements include enlarged fender flares, a new splitter, a roof spoiler at the back, a tweaked rear bumper, stylishly trimmed taillights, and an aftermarket exhaust system.

The RX

The 2020 RX 450h AWD, on the other hand, comes with a hybrid 3.5-liter V6 engine that churns about 308 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 247 pound-feet of torque at 4,800 rpm. Like the NX, all the power is sent to all four wheels via a CVT gearbox. It distinguishes itself from the NX by featuring larger brake rotors and wider wheels. For such a car, SCL Global also went hard. The company made a few tweaks to differentiate it from the NX.

Goemon Body Kit

"Goemon" is the name the company gave to the Lexus RX body kit. It boasts of the same grille design and pattern found in the Kotaro. It's differentiated by a pair of large inlets that you won't find in the NX. In addition, the hood is sharper and comes with a splitter that's more sophisticated. The rear features the same spoiler seen in the Kotaro but comes with a sturdier bumper. SCL Global decided to leave the taillights undisturbed.
