Fine Example

These days, it's hard to believe that brand-new Lexus LFA supercars were sitting around at dealers waiting for buyers for years in some cases, largely due to the car's hefty MSRP. We say that because today, nice LFAs routinely sell for far more money and are highly coveted as one of the last great naturally-aspirated V10-powered machines on earth. The latest example of this is quite stunning as well - an amazing 3,900-mile LFA up for grabs at Bring a Trailer.

Truly Flawless

This particular LFA is number 173 of 500 produced and remained in the possession of the original owner until last year, when it was acquired by the selling dealer. It certainly hasn't been driven much over that time span, and has clearly been taken stellar care of, because there isn't the slightest flaw to be found anywhere.

Shiny and New

Everything we can see looks brand new, with nary a scratch adorning the car's carbon bodywork. The 20-inch BBS Dark Premium Metallic wheels look perfect as well, and are wrapped with a newer set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 265/35 in the front and 305/30 in the rear.

Finely Trimmed Cabin

Move to the cabin, and it's just more of the same - the black leather upholstery looks brand-new and untouched, and is nicely accented by red setback trim. There are loads of amenities as well, including 10-way power-adjustable seats, the Mark Levinson 12-speaker surround-sound system, and Bluetooth capability.

Special Touches

There are plenty of carbon accents present inside the LFA's cabin, lending it a sportier look, along with a numbered plaque signifying its production number, a flat-bottom steering wheel, paddle shifters, and the now-famous digital instrument cluster.

Exotic Powerplant

Of course, the LFA's true appeal comes from what lies under its hood - the legendary 4.8-liter 1LR-GUE V10, which produces 552 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque, which features an array of exotic parts including titanium valves and connecting rods, forged pistons, individual throttle bodies, and dry-sump lubrication.

Big Money

With a few optional goodies, this LFA featured an original MSRP of $381,300 but seems destined to sell for way more than that - at least double, given the current trajectory of bids. But that's precisely what we've come to expect from these very special cars, which have finally earned their rightful place as truly desirable collector vehicles.
