Reputation for Reliability

Anyone that's even vaguely familiar with the automotive world already knows that Toyota has a reputation for building some of the most reliable vehicles on the planet, a reputation that also extends to its luxury arm, Lexus. That's one of the most appealing things about these vehicles, and there's also data to back up that claim - in fact, a recent study from iSeeCars found that Toyota and Lexus models dominated its list of the longest running cars on the road today.

5. Toyota Corolla

In fifth place, we have the Toyota Corolla, which has long been known as an affordable and incredibly reliable compact sedan. After analyzing models produced and sold over the past 20 years, it also landed on this recent iSeeCars list by averaging 204,266 miles before owners moved on to something else.

4. Lexus ES 350

Moving on, the Lexus ES 350 made the cut as the fourth longest-running Toyota/Lexus car by averaging 204,642 miles, an impressive total indeed. Providing plenty of luxury in an affordable package, it's easy to see why the ES has endured for so long to this point.

3. Lexus GS 350

The now-discontinued Lexus GS 350 wound up in third place by averaging 207,794 miles of service, which is one of the many reasons why enthusiasts love it so much. The GS is now also an affordable choice on the used vehicle market, making it rather appealing to anyone needing a reliable and luxurious method of transportation.

2. Toyota Camry

As one might have guessed by now, the venerable Toyota Camry also made this list in second place as another affordable and sensible vehicle that has long been a popular choice among new and used shoppers. It accomplished this by averaging 223,249 miles of service, with many going far longer than that.

1. Toyota Avalon

However, it's the now-discontinued Toyota Avalon that reigns supreme here, averaging an impressive 245,710 miles among those that have owned one. While it may not exactly be a thrilling machine to drive, the Avalon has provided many with years of reliable service, and there's certainly something to be said for that in a world ripe with recalls and quality issues.
