Trio of Supras

The SEMA Show may not be taking place in person this year, but it has moved online in a brand new SEMA360 format. And there are just as many builds as ever, regardless of the format. Toyota brought a host of cool concepts to show off this year, including a trio of Supra concepts that include one art car and two drift machines.

Ken Gushi’s GReddy Performance Formula D GR Supra

The first Supra of the trio is Ken Gushi’s GReddy
Performance Formula D drifter. Built by Ken Gushi Motorsports and GReddy Performance, the No. 21 GR Supra features a modified 3.0-liter DOHC 24-valve inline six-cylinder engine. It features a BorgWarner EFR 9280 turbocharger, Sean Adriano Racing exhaust system, and a Samsonas six-speed sequential transmission. The Supra looks the part thanks to a Pandem Rocket Bunny body kit and an eye-catching livery in white with red and black accents that aligns with Toyota Gazoo Racing's color scheme.

Ornamental Conifer GR Supra

The Ornamental Conifer GR Supra is a hand-painted work of art created by Ornamental Conifer, the moniker for British artist Nicolai Sclater. To create the masterpiece, Sclater started with a 2021 GR Supra 3.0 Premium in Turbulence Gray. Finding inspiration by imagining what motivates and drives enthusiasts to customize their GR Supra sports cars, he conceptualized a design featuring bold graphics and expressions like "True to Form" and
"Lightning Response" nods to past and present Supra attributes.

Fresh and Contemporary

Working exclusively with enamel paint and brushes, Sclater meticulously hand-painted every letterform and graphic, resulting in an eye-catching creation that pays tribute to the lost art of sign painting and automobile graphics while remaining fresh and contemporary.

Papadakis Racing Rockstar Energy Drink Supra

Toyota also took the time to show off the incredible Papadakis Racing Formula Drift Supra, which is driven by Fredric Aasbo. Papadakis Racing is a winning race team, having earned championships and achieved records across several sport compact racing disciplines. When Toyota announced the return of the Supra sports car nameplate to the model lineup, they were one of the first to take on modifying the Supra’s B58 inline six-cylinder engine for racing, specifically for Formula Drift.

Mountains of Power

The long list of upgrades includes a BorgWarner EFR 9280 turbocharger with dual TiAL Sport MV-R 44mm wastegates, AEM fuel pumps, fuel regulator, and filter, AEM CD-7 dash, Injector Dynamics fuel injectors, BC forged steel connecting rods, custom 11-to-1 compression pistons from JE Pistons, Supertech Performance valvetrain, Kelford Cams exhaust cam, Mountune 3D printed aluminum intake manifold, and a Full Race turbo manifold.
When all was said and done, Papadakis Racing nearly tripled output to a pavement crushing 1,033 horsepower and 908 lb-ft of torque.
