Toyota & Lexus from a Previous SEMA Show

With SEMA 2020 right around the corner, we thought we'd take a look at builds from years past.

Beyond Marketing 2017 LC 500 Coupe

The forthcoming Lexus LC 500 Coupe hasn't even hit the market yet, but we've already laid eyes upon the very first custom example.  Lexus provided Gordon Ting of Beyond Marketing with a pre-production prototype so that he could work his magic, and boy did he ever.  The body kit you see will be available soon after the car hits showrooms, and the concept rolls on satin charcoal HRE 22" wheels with Pirelli P Zero Nero tires.  But the best part might be what lurks under the hood — a bored out 5.6-liter version of the Lexus 5.0 V8, producing a stout 525 horsepower.

Clark Ishihara's RC F

Clark Ishihara brought two similarly modified Lexus cars to SEMA, and both are equally awesome.  The first is this RC F, which features a widened body designed to give the car a more aggressive stance.  The wide-body also makes room for wider wheels and tires.  Other body mods include a carbon fiber front lip spoiler, rear spoiler, diffuser, and sidestep.  The suspension is a custom setup with auto-leveling, and power has been upgraded with a full header back exhaust.

Clark Ishihara's GS F

Clarks Ishihara's other custom Lexus for SEMA was a matching GS F to go along with the awesome RC F.  It received a similar widebody treatment with identical paint.  Wheels are 20" Vossens, and the GS F rides on a custom suspension with auto-leveling.  All the carbon fiber race look goodies are present, along with a full header back exhaust.

Toyota Land Speed Cruiser

The wildest (and probably fastest) vehicle that Toyota brought to SEMA wasn't a Lexus.  In fact, it wasn't even a car. It was the absolutely bonkers Land Speed Cruiser, a 2,000 horsepower, twin turbo'd Land Cruiser that is said to be capable of doing 220 miles per hour flat out.  In addition to those ridiculous numbers, the Land Speed Cruiser is adorned with aero touches and a lowered suspension intent on keeping it planted to the ground.

Sriracha IS

OK, so the Siracha IS didn't actually debut at SEMA. In fact, it didn't debut until the LA Auto Show in mid-November. But since it's such a "hot" car we couldn't help but throw it in here. The Sriracha edition pays homage to not only the hot sauce but also the launch of the 2017 IS sports sedan, both of which are loved by enthusiasts everywhere.  Outside of the obvious paint scheme that matches the colors of Sriracha's bottle, there is a climate control that only shows increasing heat levels and seat heater buttons that are bright red with little flame icons on them.
