Very First LC Convertible Contains Tons of Special Touches
This Lexus LC convertible isn't just the first one ever built, it's also a uniquely optioned one-of-one.
One-of-One
Lexus just recently unveiled the drop-top version of their stunning LC, and needless to say, it's a gorgeous machine, just like the coupe. But if you're the impatient type or the kind of person that wants a car no one else has, Lexus is serving up something extra special for you, too. Because this one-of-one LC convertible is crossing the block at Barrett-Jackson's Scottsdale auction.

Special Hue
This is indeed the very first Lexus LC convertible to roll off the assembly line, sporting VIN #001. Which obviously makes it special in its own regard. But this car is also a one-of-one Inspiration Series Launch Exclusive, painted in the brand's incredible Structural Blue paint that took eight months to develop but contains no actual blue pigment.

Accentuating Accents
That special color is accentuated with a series of one-off color accents including Liquid Platinum-colored headlamp garnishes, side intake garnishes, side mirror bottoms, and taillamp garnishes. It's also equipped with unique Liquid Graphite-colored forged alloy 21-inch wheels with gloss black accents. And to go along with the Structural Blue paint job, the brake calipers are painted blue as well.

Special Interior
When you open the doors of your one-of-one LC, you'll be reminded of how special the car is thanks to a set of unique carbon-fiber scuff plates imprinted with the "LC Inspiration Series Launch Exclusive 1 of 1." The interior is also awash in supple white leather, a nice match for the blue exterior. And the car even comes with a matching custom Zero Halliburton luggage set.

V8 Only
Thus far, the only engine option for the LC convertible is Lexus' 5.0-liter, naturally aspirated, direct-injection V8 which produces 471 hp at 7,100 rpm and 398 ft-lbs of torque at 4,800 rpm. The engine sends power through a Direct-Shift 10-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels. At least for now, no hybrid option is available for the LC convertible.

Good Cause
In addition to all of this goodness, the winning bidder will also receive some autographed memorabilia and "an exclusive Lexus experience," whatever that means. But more importantly, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this car go to benefit the Bob Woodruff Foundation and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Bragging Rights
All of which makes this beautiful and wholly unique LC drop-top a very enticing offering. Most charity cars go for big bucks at Barrett-Jackson, however, and we certainly expect that to be the case here. But at least the winner can say that they own the only LC 'vert of its kind in existence, and that's the best kind of bragging rights.
