True V8?
Lexus has registered patents for the IS 500 nameplate and rumors are going around of the compact luxury sedan getting the RC F's 480-horsepower V8 engine. This would make the presumed sporty version of the new Lexus IS truly one-of-a-kind. The V8-powered IS would be the only in its class with a high-revving, naturally aspirated 8-cylinder motor. For old school car guys like me, that's the only reason I need to pick the IS.
