Widebody Lexus LFA Renderings are Mind-Boggling

Since no one will build a widebody LFA, this artist created a virtual one.

Almost Real Life

The Lexus LFA is a universally loved supercar with timeless design, a screaming naturally-aspirated V10, and few if any bones to pick. Throw in the fact that it was produced in seriously limited numbers, and it's highly unlikely that anyone would ever heavily modify one. Thus, this cool video from the artists of Prior Design is about as close as we'll get to seeing a widebody LFA in real life, which is reason enough to give it a watch.

More Subtle

Prior Design actually builds and sells widebody kits in the real world, but it's obviously unlikely that anyone will ever buy and install this particular kit. Regardless, it's pretty cool to look at in the virtual world, and this particular kit isn't anything too crazy, as some widebody kits tend to go too far.

Aggressive Changes

That doesn't mean it isn't a wild departure from the LFA's stock lines, of course. The body kit features all sorts of winglets and vents, along with a super aggressive rear wing and rear diffuser, vented hood, front splitter, and side skirts.

Ground Hugger

As is usually the case with wide-bodied vehicles, these rendered LFAs ride super low to the ground thanks to theoretical air suspensions, with a new set of Rotiform HUR wheels tucked underneath that, are now wrapped with Michelin tires.

Pure Fantasy

It's all pure fantasy, of course, as none of the 500 or so LFA owners in the world are likely to essentially tank their investment by installing something like this widebody kit. Regardless, that doesn't make this exercise any less fun.

Unlikely Dream

Thus, while the world dreams of an LFA successor, we're left to simply imagine the possibilities. If Lexus would build something in larger quantities, perhaps we enthusiasts could bring our dreams of modified versions to reality. Unfortunately, with the world going electric, that's highly unlikely to happen.
