If you drive a Lexus LX or GX, you know that having four driven wheels confidently moving you forward adds to the luxuriousness of your Lexus. Luxury buyers have an appreciation and an expanding desire for capability in the cars they drive, and that’s why all-wheel drive is becoming more popular in the luxury-car market.
It looks like the NX isn’t the only new model coming out of Lexus. They first showed off the edgy concept a few months ago at the Frankfurt auto show. I know I found it attractive–especially when they mentioned the 2-liter turbo. More importantly, we now know it’s actually a real car.
I doubt you need to be reminded of the Lexus LFA’s illustriousness, but I highly recommend the reminder Justin Bell gives you in the video below. Satisfying his good deed for the holiday season, Bell emancipates the LFA from the Toyota Museum, and takes the halo car to Willow Springs.
Oh… Now this is a good comparison. We know (and love) the Lexus GS 350 F Sport. It’s actually my favorite Lexus to drive right now, and likely will be until the RC comes out. But then there’s the Cadillac CTS Vsport. If you’re looking for a worth opponent, this is it.
Automotive media outlets from around the world are picking their favorite cars of 2013. Taking a trip down under, the folks at Australia’s Drive.com.au have chosen the Lexus IS 300h as “Best Luxury Car Under $80,000”.
Lexus generally do a good job of keeping their value over time relative to other cars. That said… Would I pay $20,000 for ’99 GS with 148,000 miles on it? Heeell no. But this particular GS was Leonardo Di Caprio’s daily driver. That changes things.
So. The brand new Lexus RC. it’s hot. It’s sexy. It’s passionate. It’s all the things that Lexus has been trying to do with their new attitude wrapped up into a slice of sensual sheet metal. Also it’s got a really… uh, artistic, commercial.
