Close-up image of an ACIS butterfly valve.. Precision fabrication, however...when Toyota bored this plate, it did not employ a secondary process to "blend" ( or remove sharp edges) these inlet openings to the bored holes resulting in unnecessary turbulence.. They open around 4,000 RPM , so at this engine speed simply removing these sharp edges will make a difference. Now must determine the best way to accomplish this.
